SESSION 1:

This session provides insight into self harming behaviour, why kids self harm, some facts, some myths and how to manage and respond to these behaviours. This presentation provides insight into behaviours and brings the child’s life space and circumstances into the equation when trying to meet the child’s needs. The workshop was presented by Emelyn Desjarles at the 2014 CFFA National Conference in Edmonton.
