An new storybook for children from the ACF
As many of you know, we have developed a wonderful suite of therapeutic dolls that help explore major themes in trauma recovery for children. You may have attended the training about how to use these dolls in practice. Some of you now look after your own Morty the Monster or Sleepy Susan.
The good news is that the ACF are developing a suite of tools and stories that can be used with children whether you have the dolls or not.
The first one we want to share with you is Ellen the Invisible Caterpillar.
Ellen learns about how different animals keep themselves safe. She realises that she too has powers that helps her to feel safe.
This little book is perfect to read with children under 10 years of age who have lost a sense of safety at times in their day to day experiences.
